I’m reading Abraham Verghese’s new book: The Covenant of Water. I’m only about 200 pages in but so far this hefty tome is spectacular. Also Curtis Sittenfeld’s latest Romantic Comedy is mostly delightful. Highly recommend for a lite and entertaining read.
You could start with Cutting for Stone which is less of a commitment and could be my all time favorite book. But Covenant will grab you quickly. As for Curtis, I’m sure RC will become a movie. It’s ripe for that. Curious to hear your take on that aspect as a screenwriter. Eve and I keep speculating who will play the leads.
I've just put both Cutting for Stone and Covenant on my library list! Will for sure let you and Eve know my thoughts on RC's casting and how the adaptation might work when I read.
I, too, have not watched much Black Mirror but San Junipero in Season 3 won Emmy awards so I watched it and it was great.
Yeah, I know I need to watch that one… One of these days!

Ooh, I've always meant to read Abraham Verghese, but have never gotten around to it. Is The Covenant of Water one you'd recommend starting with?
Have also heard Romantic Comedy is a delight! I'm on the waitlist from the library but I think it'll be a while.
